Delhi University officials say no 100 % cut-off this year
Delhi University officials on Wednesday reassured students that last year's 100 % cut-off debacle will not happen again.
"Although the cut-off is expected to rise again due to the students' performance in the board exams, I can assure the students that it won't go to 100 % this year," the Delhi University Dean for Student Welfare, JM Khurana told IANS.
Although Mr Khurana denied that the university had set any guidelines for the colleges to determine cut-offs, he remained confident that the du cut off list 2012 would not touch 100 % this time.
The first cut-off list will be out on June 26. Last year, in its first cut-off list, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) fixed the cut-off for its B.Com (Honours) course at 100 per cent for non-commerce aspirants.
Despite the reassurances, the student community is waiting with bated breath.
